the paladins!
Note: Pilots and Mechanics are 22+ years old. The names of each Paladin is left blank on purpose, giving player(s) the ability to name it. Anything that is left blank is up to the player(s).
The higher the compatibility level, the more in-sync the pilot and the Paladin are. Each Paladin have cycled through a few pilots (at most five). When this happens, the soul of the pilot still rests in it. When the new pilot enters, they can view all of the previous pilot's memories, feelings, etc but this fades once the synchronization is complete. It is not public information but whenever the pilot enters the Paladin, their lifespan shortens. The Paladin slowly sucks the life force out of the pilot.

When they're in the Paladin, the mecha and pilot become one. The pilot sees everything out of the eyes of the Paladin as if it was their own. When they're in the mecha, only one person can be in the cockpit at a time. Unless you're in a mecha that has more than one pilot. When the pilot is in the cockpit, its as if they're submerged in a black jelly like substance. Pilots can breathe and move around within the substance. The origin of the black jelly is unknown.

Only Pilots (and ex-pilots) can have an Esper and they're born with these effects. For abilities, check HERE. The Esper is amplified when in a Paladin.

Secondary Mechanics are not required to be on active duty but only when the primary mechanic is unavailable, they are required to fill the role but their primary Paladin is their priority.

Due the nature of the game and these pairings requiring a certain level of activity, please do not role hog if you don't intend to be active. If a character seems to be inactive and a player has actively reached out twice (with a 48 hour turn around time), the player is more than welcome to switch to another Paladin to match up with a player that is more active. This can only occur when we do removals/adds rounds every TWO months. For example, if you request to be moved in June, you cannot request again until the end of August. This will also occur in-character, as if s/he was moved to a different Paladin.

Note: If you're applying for a position with a previous pilot or mechanic, your character will have started the new role recently.
