When and where does this game take place?
This game takes place on Mars in the year 3062.

What kind of non-pilot character can I play?
You can play a myriad of characters! Do you want to play someone that's a entrepreneurial go-getter rather than a pilot? Go right ahead. A smuggler turned model citizen? Sure! Civilian roles are as welcome as military and support members of A.C.E.

What if I want my character to have an Esper?
Due to the nature and close watch kept on those with abilities, characters with espers are limited to pilots and ex-pilots.

Have the Paladins been used prior to the game?
Paladins have been operational since the year 2002, which means there are many previous generations of Paladins. If you want your character to have piloted a decommissioned Paladin you're more than welcome to, so long as you include a reason for why the Paladin was decommissioned in your character's info.

What happens if the Pilot dies?
When a pilot dies, the Paladin's mechanic has the choice to remain with the mech or retire. Retirement can mean returning to civilian life or transitioning into an instructor role. Once the mechanic's choice is made, the top instructor chooses the next pilot that is compatible with the either the old or new mechanic and their Paladin. It is rare for a Paladin to choose its own pilot, but it has happened before.

What is the average life span of a pilot?
Once they step into the Paladin, it begins to eat away at their life force. Even with medical support, most pilots burn out fatally within 7-8 years.

What kind of symptoms do pilots experience?
Each case varies, sometimes wildly, but most commonly pilots begin to experience random nosebleeds, hand tremors, heart palpitations, and excruciating headaches.

Do ex-pilots and instructors retain their powers?
Yes, they do.

Can my character have an Esper but not be part of ACE?
All citizens are examined at a young age to see if they have an Esper gene. If they do, they are entered into A.C.E's database and conscripted into the pilot program when they are of age, regardless of individual and family wishes.

At what age to Espers activate?
Most commonly when a child hits puberty, though there have been a few cases of earlier and later emergences.

What kind of memories do these paladins have?
Every Paladin with previous pilots stores their memories within the pilot membrane which resembles a bllack, jelly-like substance. When a new pilot enters, they will experience the previous pilots' memories. As the Paladin syncs to the new pilot, the memories begin to slowly fade until they become nonexistent. Pilots will sometimes still experience the strange, lingering memories of their predecessor in lucid dreams.

What does the mechanic's console look like?
A mechanic's console looks like this. Consoles are housed six to a room, with each individual one connected to their corresponding Paladin.

What does "meaningful connection" mean?
All new characters must have at least two connections/storylines with characters in-game. A line that's more than "just friends kthxbye" is not preferred but something with some meat, if that makes sense.

Are there civilian spaceships or faster than light travel?
Currently no. There is only transport between Mars and Earth, with each trip taking approximately eight to nine months.

activity wise, what if my pilot/mechanic isn't around?
If you've attempted to contact them twice (with a 48 hour turn around time each time), you're free to request a switch to a Paladin without an active corresponding role. The switch will occur when we do removal rounds every two months. For example, if you request to be moved during June removals, you cannot request again until the end of August. This timeline will also be reflected IC, as if the character were waiting for paperwork processing to be moved to a different Paladin.

What if I have applied and my application disappeared?
We believed that the character was not a good fit for the community. If only small tweaks are needed, we will contact you prior to adds.
